I’m on vacation with friends, road-tripping from Silicon Valley to Portland with stops at Redwood National Park and Crater Lake National Park. We drove through Humboldt State Park and the stunning Avenue of the Giants yesterday and arrived in Eureka, CA last night.
Today we made it to Fern Canyon in Redwood National Park. The hike into the canyon involves walking along (and sometimes through) a stream bed. I liked the way the light struck this tangle of fallen trees.
Tomorrow we leave Eureka and will drive up the coast to Crescent City before turning inland towards Crater Lake. Today was so amazing that I’m not sure how the rest of the trip can compare, but we’re going to give it our best. 🙂
